I have a small project tracked in Things to migrate all my online accounts away from Gmail over to a private, paid email service. I was dragging my feet on the last few accounts but then this story broke about how Google tracks all of your purchases by email receipt.

This got me motivated to finish the job.

It was interesting that I could see the diminished use of my gmail account in the purchase history. I’ve moved accounts away - receipts aren’t going to Gmail - so they have less data about my purchases.
